It is with a heavy heart that we must share the sad news of the passing of a great man. Dr. Per Enge is no longer with us, though his legacy will live on for ages in the hearts and souls of all the people who have had the pleasure of working with Per through the years.
Per was a mentor to Satelles’ Dr. Gregory Gutt and Dr. Michael O’Connor since their earliest days as graduate students at Stanford. Per was on Michael’s thesis defense committee and was a stalwart supporter and trusted advisor throughout both Michael and Greg’s careers. Per was a true joy to work with – always willing to take time out of his busy schedule to help crack a hard navigation problem, to offer support for a new idea, or to make an important professional introduction to one of the many amazing people with whom he associated.
As a long-term advisor to Satelles, and a member of its Board of Directors, Per was instrumental in the architectural design of Satellite Time and Location (STL), including the novel and powerful techniques that deliver enhanced indoor signal penetration, and that make the solution highly resilient to spoofing. Per will be deeply missed by all. Dr. Per Enge
